Three Primitives, in collaboration with Alessandro Mendini

Three archaic forms designed by Alessandro Mendini – Qfwfq, Ayl and Luna & Sole – were on view in the exhibition Three Primitives. Three exclusive furniture creations developed for the occasion, which take their names from the characters of the Cosmicomic by Italo Calvino “Without Colors,” the creative leitmotif of the exhibition, made with the Pointillisme COL and Pointillisme B/N veneers by Atelier Mendini with Alex Mocika. A reissue of the first wood made by ALPI for Atelier Mendini in 1991, these wooden surfaces utilize the pattern in two versions: a “solar” model with colors, and a “lunar” model in tones of gray.
